The easiest way is to fly directly to Marsh Harbour (airport code MHH) if you can. From the airport you take a taxi ($20) for 12-15 minute ride to the harbour, where the ferry to Guana goes now. This is new from April 2023.
Check the ferry schedule for G & L Transportation . The second ferry company, The Ferries goes from Red Bay. Red Bay is 20 minutes north of Marsh Harbour. The taxi there cost $40-50.
When the ferry arrives on Great Guana Cay, you will be picked up on the ferry dock if you give notice to our caretaker as to which ferry you're arriving on.
If you walk, then walk left to Grabber's and through Grabber's back parking lot, up a little hill (100 yards), and then take the first little dirt road to the left. Second house on the left hand side is Blue Coral Landing. You can rent a golf cart or a boat, from Dive Guana. They also sell snorkeling gear. They can take you island hopping, snorkeling, or scuba diving. You'll find them HERE.
What to find and where
Great Guana Cay is approximately seven miles long with a spectacular beach on the ocean side that offers wonderful swimming, snorkeling and beach combing. There is excellent fishing on the reefs and offshore, where you cannot go if you have a rental boat.
Guana Cay is where you come if you're looking for peace and quiet. Walk the several miles long beach where you see only a few people, or snorkel, swim or scuba dive. You can rent a bicycle or a golf cart to get around, but you can walk everywhere from the cottage. Guana Cay has restaurants and bars, a grocery store and 2 liquor stores (one at the grocery store).
